5480 Bethlehem Road, Fairburn, GA 30213

Welcome to 5480 Bethlehem Road, a rare 1830 historic sanctuary nestled on 11.5 private acres in Fairburn, believed to be one of the oldest surviving homes in Fulton County. Surrounded by a mature tree canopy, natural springs, winding creeks, a landscaped yard, and gated swimming pool, this 196-year-old homestead is a living piece of Georgia history. Originally built by Benjamin Smith, local lore recounts how the house was rolled intact across the road to its current location when a water-producing well could not be dug at the original site. The interior even features historic doors salvaged from Atlanta's landmark Piedmont Hotel. Showcasing early 19th-century timber construction, original hearths, and period architectural details, the home reflects the immense pride and care invested into this homestead over generations. Standing strong after 196 years, this property proves that home is truly where the heart is. Whether you envision a private country estate, an equestrian sanctuary, or a historic preservation project, this property offers incredible natural beauty and authentic heritage with easy access to Metro Atlanta, Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, and area film studios.
